The room at Hostal El Colibri was cozy and comfortable, with a nice seating area to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
Personally, I would have preferred a private bathroom instead of a shared one, but I understand that some guests might not mind.

I recently stayed at Hostal El Colibri for a week and it was an incredible experience. The staff, including the owner Richard, were exceptionally friendly and made me feel right at home. Richard even taught me how to make delicious Lebanese yogurt for breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was absolutely amazing with homemade jams, fresh figs, and delicious cheese and ham. The shared dorm was comfortable and the other staff members were respectful and pleasant. The location was perfect, with easy access to restaurants, museums, and grocery stores. I couldn't recommend this hotel more.

I recently stayed at Hostal El Colibri for a few days during my trip and it was one of the best hostels I've been to in South America. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing and made me want to extend my stay. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with real bread and yogurt - a rare find during my travels. The owner, Richard, treated me like family and even recommended a unique star-gazing tour that saved me from the crowds. The shower was amazing and I appreciated the luxury of a large towel. Thank you, Richard and Marie, for the excellent hospitality and making my stay special.
Can recommend this hotel.

I had an incredible stay at a charming hostel in Chile. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed and given a glass of refreshing homemade grape juice. The owner took the time to personally guide me through all the amazing activities in the area. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a cozy bed and a large shower cubicle. The internet connection was reliable, and I appreciated being able to stay connected. The highlight of my stay was the breakfast - it was simply amazing! I indulged in fresh grape juice, delicious homemade bread and jams, and even had avocados fresh from the tree. The hostel also offered laundry services with a quick turnaround time, and my clothes were dried under the Elqui Valley sun. The kitchen was well-maintained, and I enjoyed utilizing it. I had an unforgettable experience at this hostel, and I highly recommend it.

The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing a good night's sleep. The wifi was fast and reliable, allowing us to stay connected. The location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions. I also enjoyed the delicious breakfast offered each morning, providing a tasty start to the day.
One thing that bothered me was the lack of cleanliness in the rooms. The bathrooms didn't seem to be cleaned regularly, and there were some issues with the overall tidiness of the place.
